On this historic morning in 2025, as we celebrate the 79th Independence Day, it’s time not only for festivity, but for deep reflection. Our freedom was not a mere stroke of luck; it was won through the courage and vision of countless leaders and ordinary citizens alike. Names such as Mahatma Gandhi, whose doctrine of non-violence inspired millions; Bhagat Singh, whose youthful zeal ignited the hearts of the nation; and Subhas Chandra Bose, whose determination galvanized resistance, are indelibly etched into history. They, alongside millions of unsung heroes and heroines, staked their lives to ensure we could lead ours in dignity and liberty.
