It’s our responsibility to have good mental health, sense of willingness, ability to handle stress, maintain our diet. So here are a few tips on how you can improve your self well being with utmost ease and comfort.
1)- Have a rich diet
Adopting a rich diet means that you switch your appetite to consume nutrient-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, whole grains, dairy, legumes, nuts, and seeds.
Your body needs to have a strong immune system especially during the COVID 19 pandemic situation. Hence you can consume broccoli, spinach, yoghurt, ginger, almond, citrus foods to boost your physical as well as mental well being.No wonder you can enhance your productivity with a quality thought process.
2)- Drink plenty of water
Regardless of knowing the importance of drinking plenty of water, people deny staying hydrated. Drinking sufficient amounts of water is the requirement of your body but drinking plenty of water is the requirement of your well-being.
Try to have 8-10 glasses of water per day. 70% of the human body weight comprises 80% of the brain tissue made up of water. These fact figures express the concern that you must take care of.
3)- Meditate, Exercise, Relax
In this era of the constant rush to be the best, we forget to relieve our stress and live with it. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) typically recommend practising meditation for 40-45 minutes per day. In that case, you can sum up your 40-45 min by giving 15 min each to yoga, meditation and relaxation.
Improving breathing habits, practising mindful meditation and relaxing by performing any of your favourite activities like listening to music or podcasts, dance, cooking, reading, etc. will enrich your mind as well as your health.
4)- Plan your daily activities
Teleworkers spend 1 hour a day on social media. Statistics say that by 2020 half of the people working from home are having productivity in their work. But this doesn’t escape the fact that there is a need for a well maintained morning and night schedule. That includes your all daily activities beginning from exercise, diet, work, and self-time.
Maintain your to-do list and plan for your whole day. Stick to the list and push yourself for doing things out of your comfort zone. Trust your process, things will happen!
5)- Get up to 7-9 hours of sleep
Work from home and meeting deadlines on time has become the most common issue observed. Divorced, widowed and separated people report more insomnia. Caffeine has been called the most popular drug in the world.
These sleep facts are the most common reasons for irregular sleep patterns resulting in health issues. Yes, they could be addressed by sticking to a proper sleep schedule, taking power naps, doing physical exercises, and less time spent on electronic gadgets.
6)- Surround yourself with good people
Social media is the greatest tool to get connected with people matching your energy and vibes. But sometimes it is contagious. Carefully examine and understand the pros and cons of surrounding yourself with good people who would uplift you. Learn from them, grow with them– is the new norm that is essential.
7)- Explore and learn
47% of the people working from home are satisfied with the new norm. Although it is impactful yet it is dangerous. Getting used to it will result in fewer face-to-face interactions and lesser learning. Travel is the best medicine to gauge self-learning and understanding whatsoever is going around.
