First things first, connect your printer to your PC. Once you connect your printer to your computer, the windows will detect it, and if you are connected to the internet, the necessary files will be downloaded automatically and your printer gets ready to be installed.   • Just go to the Start button which is located at the bottom left corner of the taskbar and tap on it.
  • The Start menu will pop-up, and you will see the “Settings” option which is right above the “Power” option. Left click on it.
  • As you click on it, the settings window will appear right in front of you which contains options like System, Devices, Phone Network and Internet, Personalization, Apps, Time and Languages, Gaming, Search, Privacy, and a few more.
  • Now seek for the “Devices” option. Simply click on it, and you will proceed further.
  • It will take you to the next window on the left side where you will find the options like Bluetooth and other devices, Mouse, Touchpad, Typing, Pen and Windows Ink, Auto play, USB and along with them you will see Printers and Scanners option.
  • The Printers and Scanners option has a printer icon on it. When you find it, then you have to tap on it by clicking the left mouse button.
  • If your printer has been connected and installed completely to your PC, then you will see your printer right among with these items on the list of Printers and Scanners.
  • But in case if your printer does not appear up on that list, then what you have to do is you can simply tap on the “Add a printer or scanner” option.
  • Your windows will start searching for your printer. If it does not detect your printer, click on the refresh button, windows will start searching your devices again.
  • If still it does not work, then you can do it manually by yourself too. All you have to do is wait until windows ends its searching, and as it ends, an option named “The printer that I want is not listed” (Highlighted in blue) will appear on the screen, then click on it.
  • A dialog box will pop open where you could simply add your printer by using its name or TCP/IP address or hostname. If you have a wireless or a Bluetooth printer, an old printer or local printer, make sure which type of printer you have and then mark the checkbox.
  • After that, you will see another dialog box where it automatically searches your printer, and that’s how you will install your printer in windows 10.
  • If still the issue does not resolve, then try to install your printer software through the help of the CD which comes along with the printer, or if you don’t have it, then try to download the same software through the browser and install.
