When starting out on any new venture, there are many things to consider before beginning. This includes setting goals and creating vision boards which act as a blueprint of the future you want to live.
When it comes down to actually doing the work on your business there are three things that will make or break you: consistency, hard work and patience.” The more you are able to focus on these, the easier it will be for your business to take off.
The key goal here is that we want to create content that people find valuable, so they are willing to pay us money in return. At this point, I would not worry about conversion rates related specifically to revenue; just focus on writing engaging, insightful content first. The goal might be different depending on your situation if you have an existing audience already, then the goal may be more focused on driving traffic back towards your site; but if you do not yet have an established following/audience online, it might be more about building a following. The key thing, however, is to just write content that you would find valuable as well!
The More You Enjoy Reading it Yourself, the Better.
The more you can get a feel for what your readers would enjoy reading, the better. The goal of this section is to tie together all the steps we took in building our blogpost so far:
- Write engaging content
- Find keywords that people are searching for and include them in our post title/description/content
- Make sure it has good visuals (images, videos) or at least links out to other useful resources on the subject matter.
This will help us rank higher when people search for those terms on Google! You should also consider putting some time into optimizing these images with SEO best practices as well.
For example, if I were writing about how to build an effective email marketing campaign, one thing I might do is to take a screenshot of the SendBlast homepage and then add an image caption that says something like “Here’s how to use email marketing automation software, from SendBlast!” The idea is not only for people to find our blog posts when they search on Google but also to rank higher in the SERPS.
Publish and share on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. It’s also important to consider how you plan to promote your blog posts; when I’m writing one with an educational focus for example, I might email my list about it or do some outreach with relevant bloggers beforehand so they mention me once the post goes live. This helps boost traffic back towards our blog post which then boosts our conversion rate because we have more page views than before!
